protein power porridge

A fuel for fitness recipe for that early morning summer run or post workout repair with anti-inflammatory cinnamon spice and brain boosting blueberries keeping you focussed and feeling great.

Ingredients (enough for you and your fitness buddy)

1/2 cup gluten free oats

1/4 cup quinoa flakes

1/4 cup ground almonds

1/2 teaspoon coconut sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3 cups almond milk or favourite milk alternative

Pinch salt

Toppings
Sliced banana, blueberries, protein rich chia seeds and some flaked almonds for texture.

Add the ingredients to a pan and heat until bubbling, reduce the heat and simmer until you are happy with its thickness.

Serve in a bowl with generous toppings and enjoy sunrise while you nourish your body and feed your brain with great a great start.
