A gentle start to your day with a filling and energy laden rice flake porridge, great to boost your pre-cardio energy stores or replenish after a training session with protein packed chia seeds, containing inflammation reducing cinnamon for body repair and a mind boosting blueberry toppers.
Ingredients (per person)
¼ cup gluten free oats
¼ cup rice flakes
2 cups rice milk (or your favourite milk alternative)
Pinch salt
1/2tspn Cinnamon
1 Cardamom pod
1 Tablespoon coconut sugar
Toppings – Chia seeds, blueberries, mango (or your favourites)
Add all the ingredients to the pan and bring to the boil, simmer until it’s the thickness that you love and give it good stir to make it nice and creamy. Let cool in a bowl for 5 minutes then add your chia seeds and any other toppings you love – some lemon zest can bring this to sunshine level 10.
